PARTS MANAGER
Description Tucker Machine Company is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated and organized parts manager for our lawn & garden outdoor power equipment parts counter and stock room. We are a 2nd generation family business in Barre serving central Vermont with outdoor power equipment sales and service since 1984.
Qualifications
  • Organizational and customer communication skills a must.
  • Quickly adapt to our computer system, including: Microsoft Office, Web browsers, Email, and PDFs.
  • Point of Sale and Parts Inventory software experience preferred. We will train the right person to use our Aspen dealer software!
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced store environment - retail experience a plus.
  • Comfortable taking customer calls, filling customer orders, and ringing up customers.
  • Maintain pricing on parts to meet profit margin standards.
  • Familiarity with outdoor power equipment machine types and the parts terminology involved, (including push mowers, lawn tractors, zero-turns, chainsaws, trimmers, and snow blowers).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge. For example, will need to understand what customers are asking for and direct them to select their part from an on-screen parts diagram.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude with customers wanting their parts as soon as possible.
  • Summary Our parts manager is responsible for collecting and entering parts orders from customers and technicians on a daily basis, as well as organizing, stocking and maintaining our fast-moving inventory of parts. In addition to ringing customers at the register, you will coordinate with our service manager to supply parts to technicians in the shop, and maintain pricing to meet profit margin standards.

  • A full-time position (Tuesday-Saturday) with opportunity for overtime.
  • Starting pay based on experience, $20-$25 per hour.
